I started grad school for my Master's in Education. I've only has one course so far, but I have already learned so much. I'm remembering what it is like to be a college student and write papers every week and research all the time. The class I took this summer allowed me to research a technique I've been wanting to implement in my classroom for a year now - Whole Brain Teaching. I learned so much about how to implement it in my classroom and I've read active research papers on success teachers have seen. I think my kids will really enjoy it.
In addition to college, I get to attend a concert by one of my favorite singers, songwriters, authors, inspirational speakers, etc. Her name is Lacey Sturm and she has made an amazing impact on my life! So come this Sunday, August 14th, I will not only get to watch her and her band perform, but I also will get to meet her!
I've been to my room once so far this August. It is very warm in there! I've done some rearranging and added a few things that I hope will benefit my kids. Its going to be a little bit larger of a class, but we will all have a fantastic year.
If you happened to stumble upon my page and this blog, please feel free to comment on what you are looking forward to, what books you like, and questions you have, etc. It'd be nice to know I'm not writing to just myself :)
